Architecture
Early at the start of the idea of creating the Emerald Lake complex, its architectural Architect Nedko Georgiev and the team of Hatch Studio began to think about its appearance. The plan was to achieve a building that would blend harmoniously into the unique natural environment and combine in its vision the green fields, the lake and various trees in the woods. The architectural solution combines & highlights the connection between joining the interior to the outdoor surroundings. The large windows at the front literally wash away the boundaries between inside and outside, firmly integrating the natural environment with the construction of the development.
In order for the building itself to fit into the surrounding landscape the architect intends to use only quality natural wood, glass and stone materials.
By situating the building on a hill the complex combines all the advantages of the single house with complex building engineering and also preserves the comfort of individual dwellings.

Functional solution:
The building is designed with long life materials on two levels: one with rooms with a daytime function, the other with a night time theme.
The first floor is equipped with a spacious living room including a separate place for dining, food preparation and leisure. The kitchen has been planned with storage in mind for keeping food and utensils. The living room and dining room have a huge window positioned towards the beautiful landscape of the lake. To keep the living room warm and cosy in winter, the architect has planned in a feature fireplace in its middle. This level also includes a small service room and a laundry (store) room, detached by a hall opening onto the staircase which leads to the second floor.
The second floor includes: three separate bedrooms, a spacious service room, a shower & bath, WC and sink. An additional feeling of opulence is created by the richly glazed and sloped wood ceilings of the rooms.

Degree of finish
Construction detail - a steel-reinforced concrete structure with external surrounding walls of 38 cm thick ceramic bricks and a plaster of cement and sand enough to guarantee the thermal comfort of the building. Ceramic bricks and fibre glass insulation is incorporated to stop the heat loss that often results from exposing the reinforced concrete structure to the atmosphere; this also stops & hinders condensation humidity and mould. As well as this the buildings external faces will have a completely ceramic base ensuring long life and reliability.
The roof is sloped, made of wooden ribs with heat insulating fibre glass wool between them, wood boarding of the interior and plasticized sheet metal or ceramic tiles as external roofing.
