Velino Village is located 20 km north of the town of Shumen. It is one of the 25 villages in the municipality. Located 260 meters above sea level. Its population is 321 people. The settlement is one of the largest and most fertile in the field. It covers 27,000 acres, including 21,350 acres of farmland.
In Velino is one of the oldest churches in the area - "St. Nicholas - summer." Construction began in 1830 but was completed only in 1864. Village Velino is rich in many rural / spring / fountains, which to this day is used by locals. Many houses have their own wells, which are a great treasure for farmers. Passes through the village and the river that flows into the local dam. Population is involved in farming and agriculture. The village has two shops, a restaurant, medical center and church. There is a regular shuttle bus to Shumen several times a day.
