Village of Nevsha is located in North-Eastern Bulgaria and is part of Vetrino Municipality, District Varna. It is located 52 km from the city of Varna, 17 km from the city of Novi Pazar, 25 km from the city of Provadia and 1 km south of the Hemus highway.
The population is over 600 people. The relief is hilly, and the area is famous for its many bizarre rock formations and caves. The climate is temperate-continental with four distinct seasons, the beauty of each of which adds additional charm to the unique landscape of Nevsha. Altitude - 135 m.


history

According to the legend, the name of the village comes from the name of the beautiful Bulgarian girl Nyagusha. During the Turkish slavery, a local Turkish nobleman fell in love with her and decided to marry her against her will. To save her honor, the young girl sacrificed her life by jumping from a high rock near the village. To perpetuate her courageous deed, the locals gave the village her name - Nyagusha. Over time, the name of the village has changed and today it is called Nevsha.


Infrastructure

In Nevsha there is a kindergarten, a community center with a library and clubs / female singing group; satirical composition; children's dance troupe; caroling group; group for old city songs /, grocery stores, restaurant, post office, doctor's office, railway station, agricultural production cooperative, gas station.
The Provadiyska River flows near the village, and at a distance of about 15-20 km there are many stocked dams.
Access to the village is easy and convenient. The village is supplied with water and electricity. There is a telephone exchange, satellite TV and internet. Regular public transport to Varna and the surrounding villages is provided. Nevsha provides its residents with a unique opportunity to enjoy a quiet, peaceful life amidst beautiful nature, not far from the sea capital Varna.
The local people are mainly employed in agriculture, vegetable production, viticulture and animal husbandry are developing. Many locals travel daily to their jobs in Varna.
The village of Nevsha offers its residents and guests a variety of opportunities for rural, eco and hiking, hunting and fishing. The hills that surround the village provide great conditions for paragliding, rock climbing and other extreme sports.
