Village of Kapinovo is located in Veliko Tarnovo Municipality, Veliko Tarnovo District.

Kapinovo is located about 17 km southeast of Veliko Tarnovo, about 22 km northwest of Elena, about 18 km south of Gorna Oryahovitsa, about 260 km east of Sofia.

The village is located on the banks of the river Veselina, at the foot of Stara Planina.
The population is about 300 people.
