It is about 11 km northeast of Kazanlak, about 44 km north of Stara Zagora, about 55 km south of Gabrovo and 262 km southeast of the capital Sofia.

The village is situated at the foot of Stara Planina Mountain with a wonderful view of Botev peak, Triglav and Sredna Gora Mountain at 576 m above sea level.
The permanent population is about 600 inhabitants.
The climate is temperate continental with a large number of sunny days. Winter is soft, snowfall is rare. Summer is warm, and rainfall is rare.
