Makovo is a village in Northeastern Bulgaria. It is located in the Municipality of Targovishte, within the Targovishte Province.

It is situated approximately 20 km northwest of the town of Targovishte, 22 km northwest of Loznitsa, 24 km southwest of Razgrad, 52 km west of Shumen, 83 km southeast of Ruse, 100 km northeast of Veliko Tarnovo, 140 km from Varna Airport, and 150 km from the seaside.

The population numbers approximately 280 people.

Makovo is located in the eastern part of the Danubian Plain, at an altitude of about 242 meters. The terrain is characterized by a mix of plains and hills, and the climate is temperate-continental. Summers are very hot and dry, while winters are cold.
