Protected area "Malak Preslavets" is located 4 km north of the village and close to the Danube. It is about 30 km from the Managed Reserve "Silver" and serves as a food base of herons, glossy ibis, spoonbills, cormorants and other birds nesting in the reserve.

Agriculture is the main occupation of the inhabitants of Malak Preslavets. Are developed horticulture, cultivation of cereals, tobacco and fruit trees.
