Nova Shipka is a village in northeastern Bulgaria. Located 60 km west of Varna, 12 km east of Tsonevo, 8 km from the national reserve Sherba, 3 km north of the river Kamchia.
The village is located in Kamchia Valley, tucked among the low hills and ancient forests. The climate is temperate continental, influenced by the proximity of the eastern slopes of Stara Planina.
The population is about 260 people.
The village has a community center, kindergarten, shops, post office, church, town hall, cafe, train station.
The roads are in very good condition. Regular bus and rail to the city of Varna, as well as the surrounding villages several times a day.
Local people are employed mainly in agriculture.
Beautiful scenery, diverse terrain and proximity to the river Kamchia create excellent conditions for development of rural and eco-tourism. The village is part of many walking and hiking trails.
