Kableshkovo is a town in southeastern Bulgaria and is part of Pomorie Municipality, Bourgas District.

Two more settlements in Bulgaria are named Kableshkovo - in Tervel municipality, Dobrich district and in Chernoochene municipality, Kardzhali district.

LOCATION

The city is located 16 km north of Pomorie, 23 km northeast of Bourgas, 14 km west of Nessebar, 96 km southwest of Varna and 442 km east of the capital - Sofia.

HISTORY

Until 1934 the village was called Dautlii. It received the status of a town in 1969. Many migrants from Aegean Macedonia and Thrace, as well as from Erkech (today's Kozichino) live in Kableshkovo. He is known for his active anti-fascist activities during World War II. The birthplace of the famous partisan poet Atanas Manchev (1921-1944), as well as a whole galaxy of partisans.

INFRASTRUCTURE

In Kableshkovo there is a town hall, a community center with a library, a primary school, a stadium, an all-day kindergarten, a medical center, a pharmacy, grocery stores, and a family hotel. The nearest hospitals and high schools are located in Burgas.

The access to the city is via an asphalt road. Regular bus transport connects Kableshkovo with the town of Pomorie, the town of Burgas and the surrounding villages.

ECONOMY AND DEVELOPMENT

Wine tourism is developing in Kableshkovo. The winery combines elements of traditional Bulgarian architecture, medieval crafts, original cuisine, exclusive folklore performances and, of course, excellent wine.

On the territory of the town there is an agricultural cooperative for growing wheat and corn and production of grain and flour.

The city has a public laundry, companies for production, sale and installation of windows, a factory for technical coal for all types of electric motors, a workshop for furniture, a workshop for the production of boza.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Kableshkovo is famous for its "Thursday - Market", which is held every Thursday on the widest street in the city. In summer the market is visited by many foreign tourists.
